Our Safety Procedures
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we follow specific procedures to ensure our staff, children and their families are as safe as possible. Our aim is to reduce and limit possible exposure and spread of the virus. Below is a detailed description of the procedures we follow. Some of the procedures are required by the State of Oregon and some are additional procedures we incorporated to increase safety.
Please understand that all of these procedures aim to limit exposure across families including our own. If you have questions about our guidelines and restrictions please give us a call or shoot us an email.

Parent Safety
All parents including those who are interviewing to potentially enroll their child with LFCC are not allowed into the home under any circumstances.
Parents who are interviewing for enrollment are welcome to come to the home and view the space through the front and back doors. We'll also gladly give you a virtual tour over a Zoom call so you can see the space and have any of your questions answered. But you will not be allowed inside the home.
Parents of enrolled children are required to drop-off during a 15-minute, predetermined reserved window of time in the morning to reduce parent-to-parent exposure. When a parent arrives to drop-off their children they notify LFCC staff via a secure mobile app that we use for all staff-to-parent communication. A staff member will meet the parent in the driveway and escort the child into the home. We follow similar procedures for pick-up time. When a parent arrives to pick-up their child they notify staff of their arrival and their child is brought out to the driveway to the parent. If multiple parents arrive at the same time for pick-up they are required to remain socially distanced by a minimum of 6 feet.
In multi-parent families, the parent who drops off must also pick-up.
All parents who arrive on the LFCC property must be wearing a mask that covers their nose and mouth. We highly recommend N95 masks.

Student Safety
Students are encouraged to wear masks but are not required.
Upon arrival the student's temperature will be measured and if it exceeds 99 degrees they will not be admitted for the day and must stay home for 48 hours before returning.
After arriving, students remove their shoes and wash their hands before they join the group.
Any student exhibiting symptoms of Covid or illness will be excluded from care following the exclusion summary provided the State of Oregon's Early Learning Division. All parents are supplied with a copy of the Exclusions Guidelines.
